TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION

Our Casting Competition is limited to the first forty entires, with the deadline for entry being 4PM on March 5th.  

ENTRY FEE

Entry is FREE with an optional $20.00 Calcutta, per person, for a chance at a cash, winner takes all prize at the end of the tournament. A Calcutta is essentially a bet on yourself, or someone else, in the tournament. Should that participant win, they would take all of the money. There is no money for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th place winners.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT: 

1. Round One (qualifying round) starts at 4:15pm. ALL participants will have 1 minute and 30 seconds to record two times, meaning place a piece of yarn attached to a leader in a floating tube in the casting pond. The participants with the top 16 times in the qualifying round will advance to a single elimination tournament, which will allow the judges to place seedings on the best times.
2. The Single Elimination tournament will consist of a head to head competition (March Madness style) with the lower seed casting first for a maximum of two minutes. The higher seed will then need to beat the time of their opponent with the winner advancing to the next round. 
3. Participants must use the rod, reel, fly line, leader, and yarn supplied by shop.
