"I was looking for a streamer that would mimic a sluggo or stickbait but with a little more action from the material.

Craft fur was the natural choice to add that movement. The other key is the addition of lead wraps under the head.

The combination of the weighted head and craft fur body causes the fly to undulate while it drops slowly on pauses. A deadly combination. 

It also transfers well to saltwater for imitating certain batfish like spearing. The SLG has been the best selling streamer in our shop for a dozen years."
